Jill is a nationally recognized expert in medical practice finance and operations, as well as revenue cycle management and leadership development. She earned her Fellowship from the American College of Medical Practice Executives in 1999, and she currently serves on the boards of several physician groups in a key advisor role. She is the author of Physician, Heal Thy Financial Self, which is written for physicians who want to master the finances of their practices, and she produces a weekly podcast for physicians and administrators, called Medical Money Matters.

Jill derives a great deal of professional satisfaction from guiding clients through important transitions in their practices to ensure that their businesses thrive. She wholeheartedly believes that the practice of medicine can and should be both financially viable and joyful.

Anatomy of Joint Venture Proposals

In this session, real estate experts, physicians and executives who have “been there, done that” will dissect initial letters of intent (LOIs) with seemingly innocuous terms. They will explain exactly how those innocent terms can have a major impact on the outcome for the doctors in the real estate entity and to the practice itself, and how they approached the negotiation of those terms. Special focus will be applied to the end result and applying lessons learned moving into future negotiations.

Update on the Sale/Leaseback Environment: Considerations & Potential Opportunities

Real estate experts discuss current and future outlook of the sale leaseback market. Particular focus will be applied to current opportunities such as UP REITs that include the ability to avoid capital gains tax and monetize in a secondary sale event. Risks and considerations of different structures will be discussed as well as the unique opportunity that the current interest rate environment presents.
